LOUISVILLE, KY. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Grundy, a former North Carolina State basketball star and NBA player, was killed in a stabbing Thursday following an apparent domestic dispute, according to reports.

Louisville police say, Grundy, 40 was found suffering from stab wounds after police responded to a Louisville residence on Thursday evening on reports of a domestic altercation.

A coroner’s report says Grundy was transported to an area hospital with “multiple sharp force injuries to the body.”

He was later pronounced dead of stab wounds.

Officials say an investigation into Grundy’s death is underway.

No one has been charged in the fatal incident.

No further information was provided by officials.

Grundy played for the Wolfpack from 1998 to 2002, reports WKYT. His 12-year professional career included a brief stint with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA and teams in Europe and Asia.
