CA Man Steven Fleming ID’d As Victim In Double-Fatal Sutter County Head-On Crash

SUTTER COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Steven Luke Fleming, of Yuba City, California, has been identified as the victim in a double-fatal head-on crash near Sutter-Buttes, in Sutter County, according to officials.

Fleming 48., was killed along with a 17-year-old girl from Live Oak who was operating the other vehicle.

Investigators say, the teen was operating a Honda on Pass Road, east of West Butte Road when she struck Fleming’s Honda, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

POlice say one of the drivers crossed over into the opposing lane and hit the other head-on, but it has not been determined which car initiated the contact.

Both the teen and Fleming were pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Another 17-year-old was transported with moderate injuries.

The CHP said both drivers died at the scene. A passenger in the teenage driver’s car, a 17-year-old girl from Yuba City, went to the hospital with moderate injuries, reports ActionNewsNow.

CHP Officials said alcohol or drug intoxication is not suspected to have contributed to the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
