LEE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Chih Kai Lai, who was reported missing on Aug. 19 after failing to show up for his first day of Auburn University graduate school classes, has been identified as the body found Sunday in a shed.
The body of Lai, 22, a student from Taiwan, was found in a shed at a home in the 500 block of Southview Drive in Auburn on Nov. 10, according to reports.
No foul play is suspected, according to the coroner, but an investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding his death, according to
WSFA.
Lai’s body discovered on Sunday and has been positively identified as that of the missing Auburn University student, according to Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
Positive identification was made through fingerprint comparisons.
