ROANOKE, VA. (THECOUNT) — Patrick Henry High School and surrounding Roanoke, Virginia neighborhoods, have been issued a “shelter in place” order, according to the Roanoke Police Department.
Authorities say, officers are investigating a situation near the school, but have not clarified the nature of the situation.
The school is located at, 2102 Grandin Rd SW in Roanoke, VA.
According to police, the shelter in place is for those who live within a half-mile radius of Patrick Henry High School, reports WSLS.
Authorities are urging anyone who lives in the area to make sure their doors are locked and to report any suspicious activity.
