PHOENIX, OR. (THECOUNT) — Mark Timothy Cooper has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck in Phoenix, Oregon, Wednesday night, according to reports.
Cooper, 57, was on-foot when he was fatally struck by a vehicle on Highway 99 Wednesday night around 6 p.m., say officials.
According to reports, a Medford woman was operating a Honda traveling on Highway 99 in Phoenix when for unknown reasons, Cooper walked in from of the vehicle Wednesday night.
The deadly incident occurred near milepost 11 in Phoenix, reports FOX26Medford.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Cooper was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma.
Deputies provided no further information about the incident.
