LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — Heidi Van Tassel has been identified as the California woman involved in a bizarrely disgusting attack while walking to her vehicle on Hollywood Boulevard, according to reports.

Van Tassel was reportedly walking to her vehicle after exiting a restaurant when a man to whom she did not know, poured a bucket of freshly evacuated feces over her head, according to Van Tassel. The suspect was later identified as Jere Blessings, described by local news outlets as a homeless man known to the area.

Tassel will now be required to be tested every three months for infectious diseases.

“It went in my eyes,” Van Tassel said. “It was dripping off my eyelashes.”

Tassel was out with her friends at a Thai restaurant after which she was heading back to her car when the man dragged her out of her car and dumped a bucket of hot diarrhea on her head. “It was diarrhea. Hot liquid. I was soaked, and it was coming off my eyelashes and into my eyes,” Van Tassel said.

“Paramedics who came to treat me said there was so much of it on me, that it looked like the man was saving it up for a month,” reported Life.Shared.

The poor woman had to be taken to a hospital and tested for infectious diseases that could spread from contact with feces. She’ll need to be retested every three months.

“It was all inside my car because it was so much. He just kept pouring it and splattering it all over me,” she said. The victim contacted the Los Angeles Police Department but says her pleas for action have gone unanswered.

She also said that the police promised to have their victims’ advocate reach out to her to offer services but she claims that she hasn’t heard from anyone regarding the same.

“It’s so traumatic. The PTSD that I’m dealing with is beyond anything that I’ve ever felt,” Van Tassel said. “There needs to be some kind of help for the victims of these crimes. I will never forget his face.”

The homeless man who hurled the bucket of feces at the woman’s face was identified in court as Jere Blessings. He was charged with battery and has since been taken to jail. It is reported that the man a transient with “schizophrenia and psychotic disorders,” according to records. “He doesn’t need jail time. He needs mental health care,” Van Tassel said. “I have empathy for him. Because he needs help.”

Apparently Blessings did receive help but only for 2 months. He was released in August after being sent to a residential facility for people with mental health issues by a judge.
