OCALA, FL. (THECOUNT) — Stephen Douglas Lynn of Silver Springs, FL, has been identified as the suspect arrested in a horror crash that killed Emilio Nunez and his two young granddaughters that were driving home from elementary school.

“Steve” Lynn, 48, was intoxicated when he was involved in a crash that took the life of three people, including two young girls in Ocala Thursday.

Nunez, 71, was operating a vehicle with his granddaughters as passengers when they were struck and killed by an intoxicated Lynn. The kids were on their way home from school when the triple-fatal crash occurred Thursday.

Lynn was arrested at the scene by the Florida Highway Patrol and charged with three counts of DUI manslaughter after Thursday’s accident.

Nunez, 9-year-old Nevaeh Nunez and 7-year-old Katalaya Nunez were all killed in the horror crash.

Lynn has a suspended license. He’d previously been charged with driving with a suspended license at least three other times. He was being held in Marion County Jail on Friday.

It was the sixth time Lynn had been arrested in Marion County since 1997. Jail records didn’t list a lawyer for Lynn.
