HIGH POINT, NC. (THECOUNT) — Catrice Ingram, of High Point, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim who collapsed and died while incarcerated at a Triad detention center Wednesday night, according to the Guilford County Sheriff Office.
Ingram, 37, died after collapsing Wednesday night at Guilford County Jail, according to reports.

Officials said Ingram, who was confined at the lock up facility for undisclosed reasons, collapsed while being assessed by medical staff at the jail at 6:50 p.m.
Investigators said detention officers and the Wellpath medical staff immediately began CPR and summoned EMS, reports WXii.
Ingram was taken by ambulance to Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center where she died at 8:07 PM in the hospital’s emergency room.
Ingram had been in the custody of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office in lieu of $5,000 bail since Oct. 29 on charges of habitual larceny.
Deputies said an investigation into Ingram’s death will be conducted, but at this time the death appears to be the result of pre-existing medical conditions.
