SHREVEPORT, LA. (THECOUNT) — Cartez Woods has been identified as the victim fatally shot Wednesday night in Shreveport, according to Thursday morning reports.
Woods, 30, of 2325 Pearl St, died Wednesday evening after he was shot while in a north Shreveport business parking lot in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Cartez Woods, of the 2300 block of Pearl Street, was fatally wounded in the shooting that occurred at 8:45 p.m. in the parking lot of a business in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, said the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office in a news release, reports ShreveportTimes.
Woods was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
An autopsy has been ordered through the hospital.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
