COLLIER COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Michael J. Defilippis of Hackensack, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash involving a vehicle near Naples Manor, Florida on Sunday night, according to Monday reports.
Defilippis, 37, died Sunday night near Naples when a vehicle performed a turn in front of his motorcycle on Tamiami Trail around 8 p.m. Sunday night in the Naples Manor area.

According to FHP, Defilippis was operating a motorcycle on Tamiami Trail near Entrance Street, when a vehicle made a u-turn onto the northbound lanes directly in his path.
The motorcycle collided the rear portion of the vehicle causing Defilippis to be thrown from his bike.
Defilippis was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The car’s driver, 56-year-old Gina Gilberto of Naples, who remained at the scene, sustained minor injury and was treated at NCH Downtown, reports For4Now.
It is unknown if anyone was cited at the scene.
