BIRMINGHAM, AL. (THECOUNT) — Birmingham police say they will charge two people with kidnapping and capital murder in the death of a 3-year-old Alabama girl whose body was found in a dumpster Tuesday, according to reports.
Two suspects in the death of Kamille ‘Cupcake’ McKinney have been identified as 39-year-old Patrick Devone Stallworth and his 29-year-old girlfriend, Derick Irisha Brown.
Birmingham Police Chief Patrick Smith announced the police and the FBI have recovered remains they believe belong to missing McKinney on Tuesday, according to reports.
The couple was taken into custody in connection to the abduction of missing Alabama girl, McKinney, according to Saturday morning reports.
McKinney was snatched from a birthday party in Alabama last week. Arrested pair, Patrick Devone Stallworth, 39, and Derick Irisha Brown, 29, have deny any involvement in her disappearance, their lawyers said Friday as police released new surveillance video of a potential suspect.
The news of the arrests came as Crime Stoppers upped the rewark to $33k.

The Jefferson County Commission has approved $8,000 to be added to the $20,000 CrimeStoppers reward for information that could lead to the recovery of Kamille. With the addition of a $5,000 reward provided by the office of Gov. Kay Ivey, the reward totals $33,000, reports NBC4i.
Previously, the $19,000 reward was in addition to the $6,000 reward being offered by Gov. Kay Ivey’s office for a total $25,000 reward if “Cupcake” McKinney is found, reported ABC3340 on Wednesday.
After reporting to the press that little the girl had been located alive, at 1:06 p.m. Jefferson County Sheriff’s office told reporters he had received “misinformation” from one of his deputies in the field.
At 12:50 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff Mark Pettway said Cupcake had been found alive was being “checked by medical personnel.” But 15 minutes later, Pettway was forced to admit to receiving bad information.
A twitter user claimed Wednesday that the field deputy found a child, however, it was not Cupcake:
We have not independently confirmed that claim.
