PINEVILLE, LA. (THECOUNT) — Pineville, Louisiana man, Kevin P. Miles, has been arrested on 250 counts of online impersonation, according to Louisiana State Police.
According to reports, Miles, 46, has been accused of using numerous fake social media accounts for over 10 years. LSP said the accounts were used to communicate and/or exchange images with unsuspecting women.
Police said the case involved “thousand social media users.”
In July, LSP started an investigation concerning a man pretending to be a female on social media, with the intent to convince other females to send illicit sexual images to a fake account, reports KALB.
During their investigation, LSP said Miles was identified as a person of interest.
Following a search warrant, LSP arrested Miles and booked him into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
