ANDERSON COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Brayden Williford has been identified as the South Carolina teen killed after a metal pole he was playing with outside came into contact with high voltage lines in Anderson on Saturday evening, according to reports.
Williford, 13, died after he was electrocuted by a power line while playing at his friend’s home in Anderson County.
First responders were called to Samuel Camp Road, in Anderson, around 7:00 p.m. on October 20 for reports a young person had been shocked while playing with a metal pole.
The teen was playing outside of a friend’s home with a metal pole when he struck the power line that provided power to the home, according to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, reports WJBF.
Williford was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The coroner says the death has been ruled accidental.
