NEW ORLEANS, LA. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Magrette, of Gretna, LA, has been identified as the man still missing after a building collapse at the Hard Rock construction site in New Orleans on Saturday morning.

The search for Magrette, 49, has been suspended as family and friends wait outside the rubble of the Hard Rock Hotel praying for his safe return.

“He loves his family, he’s really funny, always caring,” she said. “He’s a hard worker and loves his job,” reports WWL.

Magrette is one of the two workers still missing after the construction site collapsed early Saturday morning.

Magrette has four grown children and several granddaughters, his wife told us.

Magrette was supposed to be off, but was called in today, according to his wife. She said he may be on the 9th or 10th floor.

The under construction Hard Rock Hotel that was set to open on Canal Street has collapsed suddenly Saturday morning.

Few details were immediately available from city officials but no injuries were immediately reported.
