SHERIDAN, CO. (THECOUNT) — One person suffered gunshot injuries in a shooting outside Sheridan High School during a volleyball event Tuesday night, according to reports.
The Sheridan Police Department says the shooting occurred in the school’s parking lot during a volleyball match at Sheridan High School Tuesday night.
One person was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wounds. The extent of the victim’s injuries were not provided by officials.
The victim’s name, age and gender were not released, reports KDVR.
One suspect is at large. Police have not yet provided a description.
SPD asked the public to avoid the area.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses.
The school is located on West Oxford Avenue, in Sheridan, Colorado.
