FAIRFIELD COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Leslie Hamilton, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Fairfield motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon, according to reports.
“Les” Hamilton, 50, was killed around 2:30 p.m. Saturday while operating a motorcycle in Fairfield County on, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
OSHP says, Hamilton was riding on a motorcycle traveling on State Route 37 just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The driver of a car traveling south did not yield to Hamilton’s motorcycle when trying to turn left onto County Road 31 and hit the motorcycle, according to OSHP, reports 10TV.
Hamilton was transported via helicopter to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Hamilton was not wearing a helmet, according to the crash report.
OSHP said the driver of the car, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Fairfield Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
