HARTFORD, CT. (THECOUNT) — A young mechanic is dead after a car fell on him from a lift Sunday at Gurabo Auto Sales, a garage in Hartford.
Police said the incident took place at the auto/sales garage at 147 Franklin Ave. on Sunday afternoon.
The victim’s identity has not been released; however, police said he was 22 years old.
At the time of the initial report, they said the mechanic was working below the vehicle when he suffered life-threatening injuries from the vehicle fall, reports WFSB.
Monday morning, however, they released an update in which they said the man had died.
Police are investigating.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Department of Motor Vehicles were advised of the incident, according to police.
