SHERRILL, NY. (THECOUNT) — Law enforcement are using resources like a police helicopter to hunt down an armed fugitive in Oneida County Saturday morning, according to reports.
Police are actively searching for an “armed suspect” in the City of Sherrill.

The suspect is wanted in connection to a larceny in the area of Thurston Terrace, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol. The Sherrill Police Department and Oneida County Deputies were focusing their search on a wooded area as of 5:00 a.m. Saturday, reports Localsyr.
Witnesses said they saw a helicopter being used with a searchlight in the area.
Neighbors in the area are urged to stay inside their homes and wait for updates from law enforcement.
