HOWARD TOWNSHIP, MI. (THECOUNT) — The Cass County Sheriff’s office was called to investigate a head-on crash at the intersection of M-51 and Warren Rd, in Howard Township, Michigan.

Vicky Light, 56, was operating a vehicle on M-51 when another vehicle driving in the opposite direction entered her lane causing a violent head-on collision.

The driver of the vehicle that entered the lane of traffic fled the scene.

Light was transported to South Bend Memorial for her injuries and her passenger, 57-year-old Brad Light, was also transported with unknown injuries.

31-year-old Kimberly McCann was the passenger in the at fault vehicle and was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle was not mentioned by officials.

Seat belts were worn and alcohol does appear to be a factor in this accident. This case remains under investigation, reports WNDU.
