JACKSON COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Glenn Everett Roe and his wife Melanie, have been identified as the couple involved an a fatal motorcycle crash in Jackson County Saturday morning, according to reports.

Authorities confirmed Glenn, a deputy with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, was killed and his wife, an Animal Control Officer with the Wiggins Police Department, seriously injured following a motorcycle crash in St. Martin, Mississippi.

The wreck occurred Saturday morning while Glenn was operating a motorcycle with his wife as a passenger traveling on Old Fort Bayou Road in St. Martin.

The crash involved at least two motorcycles and a pickup truck.

A family member told WLOX that Roe was a deputy with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office who died in the wreck.

Melanie has been hospitalized in unknown condition. Family said Glenn Roe has worked in law enforcement for roughly 30 years.
