Ohio Bar ‘Karma Kafe’ Under Fire After Offering ‘9/11 Shot’ Special ‘Why Not Capitalize On Something That Happened 18 Years Ago?’

AKRON, OH. THECOUNT) — Karma Kafe in Akron, Ohio, is drawing harsh criticism after offering a red, white and blue shot concoction called “The 9/11.”

A picture of the shot, posted on the Karma Kafe Instagram reads, “Today’s special, the 9/11 shot only $4.00!!!!,” according to Insta. “Because why not capitalize on something that happened 18 years ago,” but that bit has since been deleted.

Reactions to it have been coming in from across the country and many are clearly outraged.

One person wrote, “big yikes,” and another asked “What kind of a low life piece of (expletive) are you?”

The bar’s manager has thus far refused to comment, but did say on Instagram, “We forgot there are some lame-0s who can’t handle sarcasm. It’s a shame really,” reports Fox43.

A subsequent post read: “All publicity is good publicity, as long as they spell your name right.”

The cafe is located at 323 S Main St Suite 100 in Akron, OH.
