Adam Schiff May 2019 Petition Demanding He Resign Over Russia Suddenly Blowing Up On Heels Of Whistleblower Hearing

WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — A petition started back in May demanding Representative Adam Schiff resign did not make waves at the time, garnering only about 600 signatures over a few months. But that same Change.org petition is suddenly blowing up following the rep’s leading of hearing where he opened, to millions of viewers, with a wild fan-fiction “parody,” that made President Trump the but of the joke.

The petition, simply named, “Petition for Representative Adam Schiff to Resign,” says they want to hold the rep accountable for repeatedly lying to the American people about an “extensive knowledge of the Trump Administration’s supposed collusion with a foreign government.”

In about 48 hours the petition has more than tripled in its signatories and is showing no signs of slowing, conversely, it seems to be getting several thumbs up per minute after laying basically dormant since its May roll out on Change.org.

Via the petition:

“Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) has repeatedly lied to the American people about his extensive knowledge of the Trump Administration’s supposed collusion with a foreign government.

With statements such as these, Schiff has gone on record and lied to the American people:
1. “Undoubtedly there is collusion” (3/26/19)
2. “There is still significant evidence of collusion (3/22/19)
3. “Evidence in plain sight [of collusion] (2/17/19)

These, among dozens of others claims, outline the case for our call for Rep Schiff to resign. He either has evidence of conspiracy to commit treason against our government – and is withholding it. Or else he is lying to the American people, a federal crime for an elected official.

Americans can no longer tolerate the lies of this magnitude. Once a respected politician who focused on policy in California, Rep Schiff has proven he is no longer capable of the office he holds. By continuing to spread misinformation that would leave others with sanctions, he is no longer fit to serve.

President Trump has said this about Rep Schiff: Congressman Adam Schiff, who spent two years knowingly and unlawfully lying and leaking, should be forced to resign from Congress!

And every Republican on the House Intelligence Committee is calling on Chairman Adam Schiff to resign as of Thursday, March 28, 2019.

For the betterment of the nation, and for allowing the deeply partisan divide to heal, Representative Adam Schiff should resign, effective immediately, from the House of Representatives.”

Objectivist reported on Friday that the calls for Schiff, of Burbank, to resign are growing louder.

“What Adam Schiff did yesterday on live television during the Impeachment investigation hearing was inexcusable. There are no words to properly convey how unprofessional and out of line Mr. Schiff was, when he made up an entire fake conversation between President Trump and the President of Ukraine, and presented it as if it were ‘real,'” wrote Objectivist.

After receiving backlash, Schiff was forced to admit that his opening statement was a “parody.”
