TALLMADGE CHARTER TOWNSHIP, MI. (THECOUNT) — Rogelio Mireles has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning two-vehicle crash in Grand Rapids, according to Michigan officials.
‘Roger’ Mireles, 35, died in a crash that occurred after 7 a.m. on Saturday on Lake Michigan Drive near Thomas Street after 7 a.m. Saturday, according to police.
The investigation determined that Mireles was operating a Nissan Sentra on Lake Michigan Drive, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then collided with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. That Toyota Yaris driver was identified as 22-year-old Michelle Weaver.
Weaver was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Mireles was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unclear if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
Wright/Tallmadge Fire Rescue and Life Ambulance assisted at the scene, reports GrandHavenTribune.
