AUSTRALIA. (THECOUNT) — Legendary Australian actor Paul Cronin, has passed away. He was 81.

Cronin, who was perhaps best known for his role in “The Sullivans” and “Matlock Police,” passed away reports said Friday night.

The beloved actor won five silver Logies in his career, reports 7NEWS.

He was surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren when he passed away on Friday night.

“He was the most wonderful father, he was protective, he would have done everything for his girls. We loved him so much, he adored mum so much,” his daughter Susanne told The Herald Sun. “We’re so proud of what he achieved in his career.

“He was determined to follow through on anything he set his mind to.

A cause of death was not provided.
