ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Gladys Duarte, the mother of Nalani Johnson filed for a Protection from Abuse Order from the girl’s father, Paul Johnson, earlier this year.

The filing of Duarte’s PFA was learned through court paperwork Wednesday. The temporary PFA was filed on April 15, 2019, according to records.

In the PFA paperwork, Duarte alleges Johnson threatened to harm her and allegedly “admitted to almost killing” Nalani. It lists the girl as a “protected person.”

“@MeghanKDKA: #BREAKING: Nalani Johnson’s mother filed a petition for PFA against the toddler’s father, Paul Johnson, alleging he threatened to harm her and allegedly also “admitted to almost killing” the baby girl. It lists Nalani as a ‘protected person'”

In the petition, the mother of Nalani Johnson alleges that the little girl’s father, Paul Johnson:

1) Tampered with her car causing an accident
2) Ripped her pictures off the walls, cleaned out her fridge, stole her shoes and XBOX
3) Held a gun up to his head, threatening to kill himself, while the little girl was in the backseat
4) Admitted to almost killing Nalani
5) Threatened to kill the mother and “anyone I was with.”
6) Pulled a gun on the mother’s sister who was trying to protect the mother and little girl from him

The search for the abducted 2-year-old came to an end Tuesday as authorities confirm the toddler was found dead in an Indiana Park, according to NBC affiliate WPXI.

Several media outlets report Johnson’s body was found in Pine Ridge Park in Blairsville.

Allegheny County officials say Nalani Johnson was abducted Saturday in Penn Hills by 25-year-old Sharena Islam Johnson. An Amber Alert was issued after the abduction, reports WJACTV.

Law Enforcement officials had asked for public assistance in locating a missing car seat that was not found inside a vehicle that allegedly was used in the abduction of 2-year-old Nalani Johnson on Saturday.

Allegheny County Police released a statement Tuesday on their continuing search for the little girl who they say was abducted by suspect, Sharena Nancy, from the Penn Hills area on Saturday.

The Allegheny County Police and the FBI continue to ask the assistance of the public to further the investigation into the disappearance of two-year-old Nalani Johnson after her abduction from Penn Hills two days ago, reports WTAE.

Nancy was captured on video at the Sheetz store located at 4701 Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA.

Anyone in that area who observed the black Toyota Yaris sedan known to be driven by Ms. Nancy is asked to contact the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477), wrote the department in a social media posting.

When Ms. Nancy was stopped by the Penn Hills Police on Saturday evening following the abduction of Nalani, the car seat was not located within the vehicle. Members of the public are asked to be on the lookout for the missing car seat, an Evenflo Maestro Sport Harness Booster Seat, primarily black in color, with a gray seat area. A photo of the type and style of the booster seat is shown below:

The department is also asking anyone who may have personal knowledge of the kidnapper, Sharena Nancy, to contact detectives via the county’s Tipline.

Lastly, thank you to all of the members of the public who have submitted tips to the Tipline, and all the concerned citizens and first responders who have volunteered their time to assist in the search for Nalani. Additionally, thank you to the Johnson family for their cooperation and support during the investigation.
