PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, IN. (THECOUNT) — Notre Dame sharpshooter Ian Book ripped a page from a Brady Bunch script throwing a strike directly to the nose of a nearby Cardinals cheerleader.

Book and his boys were battling Louisville on Monday when he threw a bullet that struck a cheerleader with such force, it broke the poor girl’s schnoz, according to on-field reports.

It happened in the 4th quarter as ND was trying to protect its lead against the Cardinals … Book was pressured and tried to get rid of the football, opting to just heave it out of bounds to avoid the sack reports TMZSports on Tuesday.

“The ball sailed past the sidelines and stuck an unsuspecting UL cheerleader RIGHT IN THE FACE!!, quipped TMZ.

The woman immediately dropped her poms and walked off the sidelines and to the tunnel.

After the game, “Liz” the cheerleader, tweeted about the ordeal.

“My broken nose is twitter trending huh,” she wrote … adding, “Well my nose is crooked but I’ll always have a good story to tell.”

Anyone else thinking Marsha Brady or even Varsity Blues?

Notre Dame went on to win the game.
