EASTERN CAPE. (THECOUNT) — The police officer boyfriend of female boxing champion Leighandre “Baby Lee” Jegels, has died in an area hospital, according to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate.
It is alleged that the shooter, her boyfriend, is a member of the South African Police Service.
The unidentified man was arrested on Friday after a head-on collision near Peddie, in the Eastern Cape.
He also shot and wounded Jegels’ mother, who is receiving treatment in hospital, reports NEWS24.
