WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — According to allegations released as part of divorce proceedings of longtime political aide and consultant Tim Mynett — Rep. Ilhan Omar is a “homewrecker” — and not just any homewrecker, say Mynett’s soon-to-be ex-wife Dr. Beth Mynett.
Dr. Mynett claims Omar is a shameless breakup artist who’s been openly parading her husband around Washington, D.C. since at least March.

The allegations were unveiled divorce documents filed by Mynett in D.C.
“The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant [Tim] told Plaintiff [Dr. Mynett] that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar,” the filing reads.
“Defendant met Rep. Omar while working for her. Although devastated by the betrayal and deceit that preceded his abrupt declaration, Plaintiff told Defendant that she loved him, and was willing to fight for the marriage. Defendant, however, told her that was not an option for him. … It is clear to Plaintiff that her marriage to Defendant is over and that there is no hope of reconciliation,” source.
In July, claims surfaced allegedly bolstering rumors the Minnesota Rep married her own brother in what many believe was in an effort to skirt United States Immigration laws.

“David Steinberg spent a decade as PJ Media’s New York editor. He has been closely investigating Ilhan Omar’s background for years since she entered public life,” he said.
“He’s cultivated sources within the Minnesota Somali community. He knows as much about Omar’s background as any reporter could know.
“Very few are interested, but he’s deeply interested and he should be. Just this morning, Steinberg released a piece on Power Line. In that piece he repeats the claim that Omar married her biological brother.”

“And then he makes this stunning allegation, sourced to members of the Minneapolis Somali community: ‘In 1995 Ilhan entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the Omar family. That is not her family.
“’The Omar family is a second unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.
“’Ilhan’s genetic family split up at this time. Ilhan’s three other siblings, using their real names, managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom.’”
“Steinberg goes on to say Ilhan’s brother was one of those three siblings and that she was later legally married to this man, her biological brother, from 2009 until 2017,” he said.
“It’s a shocking claim, so far it is unproven. Omar has denied the story, but she hasn’t disproven it. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Omar’s local newspaper responsible for a lot of fawning coverage about Omar, has tried to investigate the matter.
Many call the claims false claiming the assertion is simply an attack on Omar similar to the Obama “birther” controversy.
