PALM SPRINGS, CA. (THECOUNT) — Adele Johnson, of Desert Hot Springs and Desseree Lopez of Palm Springs have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal vehicle crash on Monday.
Tuesday authorities identified Johnson, 51, and Lopez, 34, as the women killed in a crash that occurred in Palm Springs.
The double-deadly crash happened after 5:00 p.m. Monday on North Indian Canyon Drive north of East San Rafael Drive, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals where they were later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
North Indian Canyon Drive was closed between East San Rafael Drive and Interstate 10 while an investigation was conducted by Palm Springs police, reports NBCPalmSprings.
Further details of the fatal crash were not provided by officials.
