SPARTANBURG, SC. (THECOUNT) — Randall Belk has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting outside a Lowe’s store in Spartanburg on Sunday, according to police.

“Randy” Belk, 54, was fatally shot after being involved in an argument with another man outside the Lowe’s store on East Blackstock Road on Sunday afternoon.

Police said they were called to the scene, located at, 120 E Blackstock Rd, in Spartanburg, SC, around 2:45 p.m. Sunday on reports of shots fired.

Officers said the men were acquaintances and knew each other prior to the argument. The shooter was not identified.

The Spartanburg County coroner said, Belk was transported to an area hospital suffering from gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said the man who opened fire was still at the scene when officers arrived and has been taken into custody for questioning.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
