CLAREMONT, NH. (THECOUNT) — A standoff is underway in Claremont, New Hampshire Thursday morning prompting a shelter-in-place order.

Shots were reportedly fired Thursday morning in Claremont, prompting an intense standoff, police confirmed.

A shelter-in-place order has been issued for Centennial, North and Hanover streets in Claremont, reports WMUR.

There is a large police presence in the area to respond after a person barricaded themselves.
