OH MAN! Basketball Star D.J. Cooper Suspended After Drug Test Reveals He’s ‘Pregnant’

The Bosnian national basketball team suspended American basketball player, D.J. Cooper, who has been playing in Europe after a drug test revealed that he was pregnant.

Cooper was trying to join the Bosnian national team as a naturalized player but had to pass a drug test first.

The former Ohio University standout never made it, however, and was instead handed a two-year suspension from FIBA for failing a drug test.

Cooper passed the drug test but was told there was an anomaly with his urine sample. The lab tests revealed the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin, which is a hormone made by the placenta during pregnancy. Cooper reportedly tried to beat the test by using his girlfriend’s urine, and it turns out that she was pregnant.

It is unclear why Cooper was trying to cheat the drug test, reports Power1051.

Cooper played at Ohio from 2009 to 2013 and went undrafted. He was a member of the Wizards’ summer league team in 2016. He has spent most of his professional career in Europe with teams in Greece and Monte Carlo. He last played with AS Monaco in 2017. He spent some time coaching with the Bosnian national team, according to RTV Slovenia. He applied for citizenship in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2014, SI.

Cooper was handed a two-year suspension for his actions. No word if maternity leave was included.
