Mystery After NJ Au Pair & ‘Male Employer’ Found Dead Saturday In Maplewood Double-Homicide

MAPLEWOOD, NJ. (THECOUNT) — An Au Pair and her male employer were reportedly found dead at a Walton Avenue home in Maplewood Saturday morning.

Authorities say they are investigating after two victims were discovered in a suspected double homicide in the 400 block of Walton Avenue in Maplewood around 6 a.m. Saturday.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said authorities got a 911 call and discovered the victims, one male and one female, around 6:15 a.m. near a home Walton Avenue near Jefferson Avenue.

Law enforcement sources say that the victims were a female au pair and her male employer, reports NBCNewYork.

The victim ages and identities were not released by officials.

Witnesses say a woman was seen bloody laying on a front lawn.

Officials said they are not investigating the situation was a murder-suicide.

No arrests have been made and the victims have not been publicly identified because next of kin are being notified, the prosecutor’s office said.
