CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — The York County coroner has identified a husband and wife killed in a murder-suicide on Wednesday as Marsha Stewart and Courtney Stewart.
According to police, Courtney Stewart, 50, shot and killed Marsha Stewart, 40, before turning the gun on himself.
Officers responded to reports of domestic violence Wednesday around 3:45 p.m. at a York residence located at, 1125 Stone Gate Dr.
Upon arrival, officers gained access to the dwelling and located a female suffering from apparent fatal gunshot injuries.
Officers then located a 50-year-old male victim with a single gunshot wound to the forehead.
It was determined the female victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
Police said they recovered a 9mm handgun at the scene, reports WGAL.
The coroner’s office said there will be no autopsies and the case is now closed ruled a murder-suicide.
A motive in the killings was not provided by officials.
