NY Teen Mary Howard ID’d As Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Erie PA Vehicle Strike Tuesday Night

ERIE, PA. (THECOUNT) — Mary E. Howard, of of Cheektowaga, New York, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed while attempting to cross Erie, PA, Perry Highway Tuesday night, according to reports.

Howard, 18, was attempting to cross Perry Highway in Summit Township, when she was fatally struck by a pickup truck after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The Pennsylvania State Police say the New York woman was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck as she attempted to cross in the 8000 block of Perry Highway in Summit Township on Tuesday night.

Howard was heading west and had crossed four lanes of traffic when she was struck by the truck, troopers reported.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The driver of the truck was identified as Colton C. Pillar, 23, no address listed, reports GoErie.

No one was cited and the driver remained on-scene and cooperated with arriving officials.
