‘You’ve Taken Everything From Us’ Pleads Family Of Sunday Detroit Hit-And-Run Victim Herman ‘Rocky’ Walters

DETROIT, MI. (THECOUNT) — Herman Ray Walters III, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed early Sunday in a hit-and-run crash on Detroit’s west side.

“Rocky” Walters, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Southfield Service Drive near Schoolcraft when he was struck by a car, according to officials.

Detroit police are seeking the driver and vehicle involved.

No description was provided by authorities.

According to family, Rocky died at the hospital.

“They broke his skull open and left him on the side of the road. They didn’t call 911. They didn’t try to help. They didn’t try to save my son’s life,” said Julie Baughman, Rocky’s mother.

Riding wasn’t just a hobby for Rocky, it was in his blood. He’d been riding since he was 16, and his family rides, too. They’re members of the Penetrators Motorcycle Club in Detroit, reports WXYZ.

Rocky’s family is now pleading the person responsible for Rocky’s death comes forward.
