BERKELEY COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Jones has been identified as the victim killed in a motorcycle accident in Pineville, SC on Sunday morning.
Jones, 50, was operating a motorcycle on SC-45 near Viper Rd, in Berkeley County, when the fatal crash occurred early Sunday morning.
According to the coroner’s office, the crash happened around 2 a.m., after Jones’ motorcycle exited the roadway for unknown reasons.
Jones was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Jones was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to ABCNews4.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
