WATERBORO, ME. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Denis and Christal Lee Denis have been identified as the North Waterboro man and wife dead in an apparent murder-suicide Saturday night, according to Maine State police.
Chris and Christal Denis were found deceased inside their home on New Dam Road, in Waterboro, around 8 p.m. Saturday. Officials responded to the location after receiving a request for a welfare check by relatives, York County deputies said Sunday morning.
Detectives believe Chris shot Christal at their residence before turning the gun on himself.
Autopsies will be conducted Sunday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta, reports WMTW.
State police said the couple owned Deer Pond Fuel Inc. in North Waterboro.
