OK Woman Amber Stephens ID’d As Victim In Sunday Sulphur Fatal Single-Vehicle

SULPHUR, OK (THECOUNT) — Amber Nicole Stephens has been identified as the Oklahoma woman killed after being involved in a single-vehicle crash west of Sulphur on Sunday.

Stephens, 25, was riding in a Chevrolet Equinox as a passenger when she was killed while traveling on State Highway 7 just west of Sulphur Sunday morning after 7 a.m.

Murray County 911 center responded to reports of a vehicle crash on State Highway shortly after 7:00 am. Upon arrival, first responders discovered the Chevrolet Equinox overturned.

The driver, who was later determined to be impaired, was identified as Chenoa Ruth Imotichey, a 26-year-old female from Davis. She was transported via Air Evac to an area Oklahoma City hospital with unknown injuries.

Stephens was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s Homicide Unit was called to the scene indicating charges may be filed in the case.

Investigators say they believe the driver was intoxicated, making it a homicide investigation, reports KTEN.

It is believed the women attended an event at Lake of the Arbuckles Saturday night. Police are asking anyone with any information on this case or if anyone knows where either occupant was from 5:00 pm yesterday to contact police immediately at 911.
