FORT WAYNE. IN. (THECOUNT) — Marcus Wilkes, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a crash with a Fort Wayne dump truck early Friday morning.
Wilkes, 46, rear-ended the dump truck at a traffic signal in the 1700 block of Hanna Street, police said.
Wilkes died accidentally from blunt force injury, the Allen County coroner’s office determined after an autopsy, according to JournalGazette.
Wilkes’ death is the 20th from motor vehicle crashes in Allen County during 2019.
No further information on the crash was provided by officials.
The crash remains under investigation.
