HOUSTON, TX. (THECOUNT) — Pamela Pratt has been identified by family members as the victim stabbed to death by a Houston man claiming to be her fiance, authorities said.

According to officials, the man called 911 claiming he had stabbed his fiancé.

A motive in the stabbing is unknown.

According to authorities, the call came in around 2:50 a.m. Friday and shortly after, police found a woman’s body inside an SUV on Sayers Street near Emmet in northeast Houston, reports Click2Houston.

Pratt’s 18-year-old son identified her as the woman stabbed to death. She was a mother of three, according to her son.

According to the son, the suspect was Pratt’s boyfriend and he and Pratt resided together.

Her son said that he calls the man his stepfather.

The unidentified man was taken into custody and is being questioned, police said.

Authorities are still working to confirm the relationship between the man and the woman.

Investigators are working to learn more details about the stabbing.
