HURON, OH. (THECOUNT) — Alvin Martin, the Ohio teenager who was trying to rescue children who were being pulled out by strong Huron River currents, was recovered Tuesday morning near the mouth of the river.
The body of Martin, 18, was found by a fisherman, according to reports.
Huron PD has notified Martin’s family of the recovery, reports Fox8.
“Huron PD extends our sympathy to Alvin’s family and friends and are keeping all affected by this tragedy in our thoughts,” Chief Bob Lippert said in a statement.
