WINTER GREEN, FL. (THECOUNT) — Vamari Bostic has been identified as the 13-year-old boy on the run after shooting and killing a man on a Winter Green, Florida street Thursday morning, according to officials.

Authorities say they responded to a call of shots fired on S. West Crown Point Road in Winter Green early Thursday morning. Upon arrival, James Anthony Bacon, 25, was found suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

A source on social media shared the above image of an individual they claim to be Bostic. We have not independently confirmed it is the same boy, however, a check to the source image’s Facebook page, shows a “Vamari Bostic” of Winter Green, Florida. That said, we still have not confirmed with officials if it is in-fact the same wanted suspect.

Investigators say that Bacon was on-foot in the area of S. West Crown Point Road when he encountered Bostic.

Officials said Bostic shot Bacon in the torso and fled the scene, reports WESH.

Officers attempted to perform live-saving procedures on Bacon before emergency medical services pronounced him DOA at an area hospital.

Authorities have issued a first-degree murder warrant for Bostic who is currently being sought.

Police said the boy should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to officials, the Bacon and Bostic have been involved in an ongoing dispute for weeks.

Anyone with possible information on Bostic’s whereabouts should contact police at 911 immediately.
