WARD COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Keegan Karim Henderson, of El Paso, has been identified as the victim struck by a Union Pacific train in Ward County, TX, Monday evening.
Henderson, 35, was operating a vehicle on CR-135, about five miles east of Barstow, when he failed to observe a crossing train.
DPS officials say the intersection does have warning and traffic control signal but is not equipped with lights of control arms.
Following the collision, Henderson was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
DPS officials say Henderson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, reports YourBasin.
