ANNAPOLIS, MD. (THECOUNT) — Maryland rapper, Tre Da Kid, was shot and killed in a deadly roadside altercation Friday night in Annapolis.

Edward Montre Seay, 32, of Chester, was found shot dead inside a vehicle after a traffic collision Forest Drive and South Cherry Grove Avenue.

According to police, they initially responded to a call of shots fired around 9:20 p.m. Friday on Forest Drive near Newtowne Drive. Seay crashed his car and died of his injuries after being shot, reports Fox5DC.

Baltimore radio station WERQ-FM first reported that the victim was Tre Da Kid. The rapper appeared on Good Day DC in 2016 after winning the title of best freestyle lyricist in the nation.

Detectives are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Annapolis police at (410) 260-3439. Police are offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
