Clackamas County Dive Team Enters Search For Missing Mother And Son Karissa Fretwell Little Billy

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR. (THECOUNT) — The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office dive team has entered the search for mother, Karissa Fretwell and her son, Billy, after the pair went missing on May 13.

Police say they are seeking to question a person of interest in the case, the 3-year-old boy’s biological father, 52-year-old Michael John Wolfe, of Gaston, Oregon.

The sheriff confirmed dive teams were working with other nearby law enforcement agencies to search bodies of water in the area in an effort to locate the pair. Police did not say if any leads led to the search of the area.

A search warrant was issued by investigators who are looking for evidence of homicide and the bodies of Fretwell and her son, who were last seen May 13.

Thursday, police searched Wolfe’s property near Gaston in Yamhill County for the Fretwells, or any leads that could help in solving the missing persons case, reports KATU.

They had also been collecting evidence from Karissa’s home.

Wolfe is described as about 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs more than 200 pounds. He has thinning brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police describe Karissa as about 5-foot 9-inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair that she dyes red.

Billy is about three feet tall, weighing 30 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Friends describe the young mother as someone with a strong work ethic who would “never miss work.”

The family of Fretwell, 25, and son William reported them missing last week and now the Salem police are asking for the public to report any additional information on the two.

A friend who regularly babysat William said she last spoke to Fretwell on May 11 when the mother inquired about installing a security camera system at her place of residence. On May 17 the friend was supposed to watch William – but never heard back from Fretwell.

A neighbor reported to police two months ago, “We heard a man and woman arguing incredibly loud. The man was swearing a lot and there was a kid crying in the background, and the woman was yelling at him to get out of her apartment,” reports MyFox8.

Authorities aren’t releasing much information, including whether any of Fretwell’s personal belongings are missing, but a white Grand Am registered to her is still parked on the street in front of her apartment, and a green Mercury Mountaineer parked in front of it has a college financial aid application on its passenger seat that appears to have been signed by Fretwell.

Her friend says Fretwell works as an overnight security guard while studying education at Western Oregon University, and adds, “She has a strong work ethic. She’d never miss work.”

According to facebook Fretwell resides in McMinnville, Oregon, and attended Western Oregon University. She previously worked as a driver for Jimmy John’s and was a security guard and Cascade Steel Rolling Mills.
