ST. PETERSBURG, FL. (THECOUNT) — Joi Spencer has been identified as the Florida woman fatally shot in St. Petersburg Friday morning.

Spencer, 36, was discovered suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 4300 block of Trout Drive Southeast, in St. Petersburg, FL.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries. The baby was successfully delivered.

The infant remains in critical condition, according to police.

It’s unknown at this time if a suspect is in custody, reports ABCActionNews.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
