ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Family members have identified the two young people found dead in a vehicle in St. Charles County Friday as John Reinhardt and Caitlyn Frangel of Hazelwood.
Reinhardt, 20, and Frangel, 19, were last seen May 13 purchasing items at the Mobil Gas Station on Dunn Road.
Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol said the bodies were found near 1550 Hideaway Harbor Drive in Portage Des Sioux.
The bodies were believed to have been there for several days, reports KMOV.
Reinhardt and Frangel were known to go for drives in that area because it cleared their heads, said Reinhardt’s mother, adding family members originally searched for the pair in the area but had to limit it because of floodwaters.
