WHITLEY COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Vicki S. Conner of Corbin, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Woodbine shooting Wednesday night.

Conner, 57, was found suffering from gunshot wounds after police responded to a call of shots fired around 7:30 p.m. at a home on 814 KY-6, in the area of Woodbine Fire & Rescue.

Connor was initially alive when first responders arrived, however, a medical helicopter was canceled and she was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

State Police say they are attempting to locate a male suspect, who is reportedly armed.

A search perimeter was established and K-9 units were working to track the suspect, reports TheNewsJournal.

As of Thursday no arrest has been made.

Conner’s body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
