VERNON PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Tammy L. Jarrell, of Leesville, LA, has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night.
Jarrell, 51, was operating a Chevrolet SUV around 10:00 p.m on Savage Forks Road near Wilson Loop, in Leesville, when for unknown reasons, she crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.
The vehicle then entered a culvert and collided with a tree.
Jarrell was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Routine toxicology tests are pending, reports KALB.
A crash report noted that the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
